As you prepare to welcome your new baby, we're here to give you the pregnancy care and support you need each step of the way.

Our aim is to work in partnership with you throughout your pregnancy, providing all of the services you will need, including full antenatal care, your preferred or medically required delivery option, and of course, postnatal care.



When you come to the Our Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, you'll find support on your lifelong journey from adolescence to menopause and beyond.

We care for women of all ages, addressing conditions in areas of adolescence, pre-marital counselling, early pregnancy, sexual health, breast care, hysterectomy, urinary incontinence other gynaecological issues.



Some of the most common surgical operations performed:

  • Appendectomy is the surgical removal of the appendix.

  • Breast biopsy is diagnostic test involving the removal of tissue or cells for examination under a microscope.

  • Cesarean section (also called a c-section) is the surgical delivery of a baby by an incision through the mother's abdomen and uterus.

  • Cholecystectomy is surgery to remove the gallbladder.

  • Debridement of wound, burn, or infection involves the surgical removal of foreign material and/or dead, damaged, or infected tissue from a wound or burn.

  • Dilation and curettage (also called D & C) is a minor operation in which the cervix is dilated and diseased or harmful tissues are removed.

  • Hemorrhoidectomy is the surgical removal of hemorrhoids

  • Hysterectomy is the surgical removal of a woman's uterus.
